FAKTOR SOSIAL EKONOMI DAN NILAI TUKAR PEMBUDIDAYA IKAN (NTPI) DI DESA WARUKAPAS KECAMATAN DIMEMBE KABUPATEN MINAHASA UTARA

Abstract

The purpose of this study, namely: 1) Knowing how the socio-economic factors of freshwater fish farmers in the Warukapas Village, North Minahasa Regency; and 2) analyzing the Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPi) of freshwater fish farmers in the Warukapas Village of North Minahasa Regency.

Data collected through two sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained through observation, direct interviews and questionnaires. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling of 15 respondents. Secondary data is data obtained through data in the Warukapas Village, Dimembe District, North Minahasa Regency.

Based on the results and discussion of this study, it can be concluded: 1) Freshwater fish farmers in Warukapas Village have been doing business for 10 - 25 years with ownership of ponds 10-15, at the age of most of more than 40 years, the level of general education of high school, with dependents quite large family of 4-6 people. The average investment for a fish farming business besides procuring land for farmers requires an investment of Rp. 3,088,667, with a fixed cost of Rp. 557,986 and variable costs Rp. 4,578,333 per month. The income per month of this business is Rp. 13,055,556. As for the cost of the farmer's household, Rp. 2,962,359 per month; and 2) The total income of fish cultivator businesses can cover the subsistence needs (basic needs) of the fish cultivator family, with NTPi of 164, while the fish cultivator income can cover the costs of the fish cultivator business with an NTPi of 260. Suggestions that can be submitted based on research, namely: 1 ) the need for NTPi calculations for one year of observation; and 2) fish cultivator businesses need processing of catches to increase product added value.

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu : 1) Mengetahui bagaimana faktor sosial ekonomi pembudidaya ikan air tawar di Desa Warukapas Kabupaten Minahasa Utara; dan 2) menganalisis Nilai Tukar Pembudidaya (NTPi) pembudidaya ikan air tawar di Desa Warukapas Kabupaten Minahasa Utara.

Data yang dikumpulkan melalui dua sumber yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer adalah data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara langsung dan melakukan pengisian kuesioner. Responden dipilih secara purposive sampling sejumlah 15 responden. Data sekunder adalah data yang diperoleh melalui data yang ada di Desa Warukapas Kecamatan Dimembe Kabupaten Minahasa Utara.

Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan : 1) pembudidaya ikan air tawar di Desa Warukapas telah melakukan usaha selama 10 – 25 tahun dengan kepemilikan kolam 10 – 15, pada umur sebagian besar lebih dari 40 tahun, tingkat pendidikan umum SMA, dengan tanggungan keluarga cukup besar 4 – 6 orang. Rata-rata investasi usaha budidaya ikan selain pengadaan lahan untuk pembudidaya, dibutuhkan investasi sebesar Rp. 3.088.667, dengan biaya tetap sebesar Rp. 557.986 dan biaya tidak tetap Rp. 4.578.333 per bulan. Pendapatan per bulan usaha ini ialah Rp. 13.055.556. Sedangkan untuk biaya rumah tangga pembudidaya sebesar Rp. 2.962.359 per bulan; dan 2) Pendapatan total usaha pembudidaya ikan dapat menutupi kebutuhan subsisten (kebutuhan dasar) keluarga pembudidaya ikan, dengan NTPi sebesar 164, sedangkan pendapatan pembudidaya ikan dapat menutupi biaya usaha pembudidaya ikan dengan NTPi sebesar 260. Saran yang dapat disampaikan berdasarkan penelitian, yaitu: 1) perlu adanya perhitungan NTPi untuk satu tahun pengamatan; dan 2) usaha pembudidaya ikan perlu pengolahan hasil tangkapan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk.
