Abstract

This study aimed to compare the growth of Stevia plants propagated generatively and vegetatively. The research was conducted in Talaitad Utara Village, Suluun Tareran District, from February to May 2025. The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Method with two treatments, namely apical cuttings and seeds. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using mean values. Each treatment was replicated 12 times, resulting in 24 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 2 seedlings for the apical cutting treatment and 4 seeds for the seed treatment. Results showed that up to 84 days after planting, generative propagation using seeds did not result in germination. Vegetative propagation using apical cuttings showed good growth performance in terms of plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter.
