PEER REVIEW PROCESS

d'Cartesian: Jurnal Matematika dan Aplikasi strictly publishes papers that follow the journal's guidelines and manuscript preparation template. All submitted manuscripts go through a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

Papers are initially read by editorial members based on their field of specialization and screened by the Managing Editor to ensure they meet the publication criteria. Manuscripts are then sent to two independent reviewers selected based on their expertise and historical review experience. Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the scientific field.

Based on the reviewers' comments and advice, the editorial board will make one of the following decisions:

• Accepted: As it is, with no further modifications required.
• Accepted with Minor Revisions: Authors are required to revise the manuscript within a stipulated time.
• Accepted with Major Revisions: Authors must make significant revisions within a stipulated time before the paper can be reconsidered.
• Rejected: Generally on grounds of falling outside the journal's scope and aim, major technical description problems, or lack of clarity in presentation.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

PUBLICATION ETHICS

d'Cartesian: Jurnal Matematika dan Aplikasi (DC) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Sam Ratulangi University. We highly respect publication ethics and strictly avoid any type of plagiarism. This statement explains the ethical behavior expected from all parties involved in publishing an article in this journal, based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It directly reflects the quality of the work of the authors and their supporting institutions.

Fair Play & Confidentiality
The editor evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and may also assist the author in improving the paper.

Promptness: Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources & Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Privileged information obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards: Authors should present an accurate account of the original research performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.

Multiple or Concurrent Publication: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.

Fundamental Errors: When an author discovers a significant error in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly notify the journal editor to retract or correct the paper.
