Sistem Informasi Penerimaan Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Berbasis Web

Abstract

Abstract — In the era of increasingly rapid development of information technology, nowadays, people of all ages need digital media that is connected to the internet so that people can provide and receive information quickly. In the process of accepting new students at the Stella Maris Catholic Junior High School it is still manually, where students are still filling out forms manually and the school has to manually recap the data of hundreds or even thousands of students. Global Covid-19 schools also limit face-to-face meetings and crowds, but schools also need facilities so that prospective students can enroll in schools and that registration data and information regarding the new student admissions process are easy and fast to disseminate. The solution that can be done is to develop a web-based new student admission information system, where prospective new students can access the website anywhere and anytime so that they can receive information about the school quickly, accurately, and carry out the registration process as prospective students without having to come to the school. School, in software development in this study using the Agile UP development method.

Abstrak — Di era perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat saat ini setiap kalangan dari berbagai tingkat usia sangat membutuhkan media digital yang terhubung dengan internet sehingga masyarakat dapat memberikan dan menerima informasi dengan cepat. Dalam proses penerimaan siswa baru di SMP katolik stella maris masih secara manual, dimana siswa masih mengisi form secara manual dan pihak sekolah harus merekap data ratusan bahkan ribuan siswa secara manual itu merupakan masalah yang muncul ditambah lagi dengan kemungkinan kehilangan data atau duplikasi data dan dikarenakan pandemi global Covid-19 sekolah juga membatasi pertemuan tatap muka dan kerumunan, tetapi sekolah juga membutuhkan sarana agar calon siswa bisa untuk untuk mendaftar di sekolah dan data pendaftaran serta informasi terkait proses penerimaan siswa baru mudah dan cepat untuk disebarkan. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengembangkan sistem informasi penerimaan peserta didik baru berbasis web, dimana calon peserta didik baru dapat mengakses website tersebut dimanapun dan kapanpun sehingga mereka dapat menerima informasi tentang sekolah secara cepat, tepat, dan melakukan proses pendaftaran sebagai calon siswa tanpa harus datang ke sekolah, dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan Agile UP.
