Nutritional content of microencapsulated feed with different protein sources for nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fry

The success of tilapia cultivation largely depends on feed, which is a critical factor influencing productivity. Providing feed that meets the fish's requirements in terms of size, type, and nutritional content can significantly enhance aquaculture output. This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional composition of microencapsulated feed containing different protein sources for red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fry. A proximate analysis was conducted to determine the feed's nutritional content, including moisture, ash, fat, and protein levels. The results revealed the following nutritional composition of the microencapsulated feed: moisture content (2.02–6.49%), ash content (2.82–5.69%), fat content (11.14–17.51%), and protein content (41.47–50.51%). These findings suggest that microencapsulated feed with varying protein sources can provide a nutritionally balanced diet for red tilapia fry, supporting optimal growth and cultivation efficiency.
