Focus and Scope

The Journal of Agroecotechnology Wallacea (JAW) is an open-access scientific journal that serves as a platform for scientific publications in agroecotechnology, with a strong emphasis on advancing sustainable agriculture in the Wallacea region.

JAW is published semiannually, with issues released in May and November. Prospective authors are strongly recommended to carefully examine the journal’s author guidelines and publication policies to ensure compliance throughout the submission and review process.

All articles are freely accessible. The journal publication fees are IDR xxx,xxx.xx per manuscript and will be billed upon acceptance.

This journal is a newly established scientific publication that is currently in the process of obtaining an E-ISSN and preparing for national accreditation. The editorial team is committed to ensuring that all publication processes adhere to established academic standards and the principles of publication ethics.

The scope of the Journal of Agroecotechnology Wallacea (JAW) covers various fields of agricultural science and technology, including but not limited to:

  • IoT in Agrotechnology: smart farming, precision agriculture systems, and agricultural digitalization.
  • Agricultural production technologies.
  • Seed quality technology and biological material innovations.
  • Soilless cultivation media, horticulture, and landscape technologies.
  • Technologies for the control of plant pests and diseases.
  • Geospatial technologies in agriculture.
  • Environmental management technologies.
  • Applied data science studies and analyses.

 

Peer Review Process

Journal of Agroecotechnology Wallacea applies a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

Every submitted manuscript is first screened by the editorial team to ensure compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass this stage are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to agroecotechnology and environmental sustainability.

Editorial decisions are made based on reviewers’ recommendations, with possible outcomes including: acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions (revise and resubmit), or rejection. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments before final acceptance.

The average time for the peer review process is approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on the manuscript’s complexity and the review process. The journal is committed to ensuring a fair, rigorous, and timely review.

 

Fokus dan Ruang Lingkup

Jurnal Agroekoteknologi Wallacea (JAW) adalah jurnal ilmiah dengan akses terbuka dan berkomitmen menjadi wadah publikasi ilmiah di bidang agroekoteknologi dengan fokus pada pengembangan pertanian berkelanjutan di kawasan Wallacea.

JAW diterbitkan secara berkala dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada periode Mei dan November. Calon penulis sangat dianjurkan untuk menelaah secara cermat pedoman penulis dan kebijakan publikasi jurnal ini guna memastikan kesesuaian selama proses pengajuan dan penelaahan naskah.

Seluruh artikel dapat diakses secara gratis. Biaya publikasi JAW adalah Rp xxx,xxx.xx per naskah dan akan ditagihkan setelah artikel dinyatakan diterima.

Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal ilmiah baru yang saat ini sedang dalam proses pengurusan E-ISSN serta persiapan menuju akreditasi nasional. Pengelola berkomitmen untuk memastikan seluruh proses penerbitan mengikuti standar etika publikasi ilmiah dan kaidah akademik yang berlaku.

Ruang lingkup Jurnal Agroekoteknologi Wallacea (JAW) mencakup berbagai bidang ilmu pertanian dan teknologi, antara lain namun tidak terbatas pada:

  • Kajian IoT Agroteknologi: pertanian cerdas, sistem pertanian presisi, dan digitalisasi pertanian.
  • Teknologi produksi pertanian.
  • Teknologi mutu benih dan bahan material hayati.
  • Teknologi media tanam dan pertamanan/lanskap.
  • Teknologi pengendalian organisme pengganggu tanaman (OPT).
  • Teknologi geospasial pertanian.
  • Teknologi pengelolaan lingkungan.
  • Kajian dan analisis data sains terapan.

 

Proses Peer-Review

Jurnal Agroekoteknologi Wallacea (JAW) menerapkan sistem double-blind peer review, di mana penulis dan reviewer sama-sama tetap anonim sepanjang proses penelaahan.

Setiap naskah yang dikirimkan terlebih dahulu diseleksi oleh tim editorial untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan ruang lingkup jurnal, pedoman penulisan, serta standar etika publikasi. Naskah yang lolos tahap ini kemudian dikirimkan kepada minimal dua orang reviewer independen yang memiliki keahlian sesuai bidang kajian. Reviewer akan mengevaluasi naskah berdasarkan aspek orisinalitas, ketepatan metodologi, kejelasan penyajian, serta kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan agroekoteknologi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan.

Keputusan editorial ditetapkan berdasarkan rekomendasi reviewer, dengan kemungkinan hasil: diterima, revisi minor, revisi mayor (revise and resubmit), atau ditolak. Penulis diwajibkan melakukan revisi naskah sesuai masukan reviewer sebelum penerimaan akhir.

Rata-rata waktu proses peer review adalah sekitar 6–8 minggu, tergantung pada kompleksitas naskah dan proses penelaahan. Jurnal ini berkomitmen untuk menjaga proses review yang adil, ketat, dan tepat waktu.
