Abstract

Background : Improving the quality of health in hospitals will be influenced by the performance of good nurses. Improving the performance and productivity of nurses in hospitals must be accompanied by an increase in the Quality of Nursing Work Life (QNWL). Low QNWL in hospitals will result in high nurse absenteeism and suboptimal service quality. Aim : To determine the relationship between Quality of nursing work life and the performance of nurses in the Infectious Diseases Installation RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Methods : This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional study approach. The sample in this study were nurses at the Infectious Disease Installation (IPI) at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado as many as 90 samples using a stratified random sampling technique using a QNWL questionnaire and a nurse performance questionnaire. Results : Most of the nurses got good QNWL scores with good performance. Statistical test using multiple linear regression test with sig-value 0.261 > (0.05). Conclusion: There is no relationship between the Quality of nursing work life with the performance of nurses in the Infectious Diseases Installation, RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado.
