THE EFFECT OF MCKENZIE CERVICAL EXERCISE THERAPY ON NECK PAIN IN STUDENTS DURING ONLINE LEARNING IN UNIVERSITY 'AISYIYAH SURAKARTA

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a global pandemic. Following the WHO policy, Kemendikbud publish a policy for online lecture. The prevalence of neck pain increases since the pandemic of approximately 17,7 to 66%. Neck pain is a pain that is felt in the upper part of the neck to the top of the shoulder blade. One of the interventions that support Mckenzie Cervical Exercise is a form of therapy to treat neck pain. Objective: To determined the effect of Mckenzie Cervical Exercise therapy on neck pain in students during online learning at the University of 'Aisyiyah Surakarta. Methods: This type of research was quantitative, this research method uses Pre-experiment Design with One Group Pre Test- Post test Design. Sampling of 20 respondents. The reseaech intrument used Neck Disability Index. Data analysis with wilcoxon test. Result: The result showed a significant value in the Mckenzie Cervical Exercise therapy on neck pain with p value 0,000 < 0,05. Conclusion: there was a signficant effect of of Mckenzie Cervical Exercise therapy on neck pain in students during online learning at the University of 'Aisyiyah Surakarta.
