Background: Heart failure is one of the cardiovascular diseases that is a public health problem. Adequate self-care involving adherence care, assessment and symptom management is important to improve quality of life and reduce readmissions due to decompensation episodes that occur. However, Self-care Management for patients with heart failure remains challenging. Conventional education methods given to patients in improving Self-Care are not optimal and have not been effective. Other non-pharmacologic interventions are needed to improve self-care, video storytelling is a method that can be used to improve self-care in heart failure patients. Objective: To develop Manado dialect Video Storytelling to improve self-care in heart failure patients, Methods: To validate Video Storytelling, Stage 1. determine the storyteller through an assessment using the schfi 6.2 instrument; Stage 2 create and validate the video by conducting expert judgment to obtain a CVI value, Results And Conclusion: Stage 1, identified heart failure patients who are willing to become storytellers with a schfi value of 78 (very good); Video storytellers have a CVI value of 1 according to expert assessment. Thus, the video storyteller that was created and developed is valid and can be used for heart failure patients in self-care improvement interventions.
