Diabetes Mellitus continues to increase every year. As the prevalence of diabetes mellitus rises, so does the incidence of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU), one of the long-term complications of diabetes mellitus. DFU is a chronic wound on the lower extremities of diabetic patients, requiring proper management. Approximately 8% of DFU patients undergo amputation, which not only increases morbidity and mortality rates but also significantly reduces the patients' quality of life. DFU management can be done using the moist healing method, which involves maintaining a moist environment around the wound. Occlusive dressings are indicated to help keep the wound moist. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using occlusive dressings in healing diabetic foot ulcers. Method is a quasi-experimental design without a control group, involving 22 sample subjects. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software with the Wilcoxon test. Results There was a significant difference in the mean before (13.5) and after (3.5) wound care with occlusive dressings in healing diabetic foot ulcers, with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: Occlusive dressings have been proven effective in the healing of diabetic foot ulcers.
