This study aims to identify the species, density, size variation, and distribution of bivalvia in the intertidal Tiwoho and Tongkaina. The study used belt transect and survey exploration methods. At each location, three belt transects were applied parallel to the coastline. Observations outside the belt transect were also applied. The distance among belt transects were 10 meters. All specimens were identified. Species density in the belt transect was counted. The results show the total of 9 species bivalvia belong to 5families, namely Mytilidae, Isognomonidae, Margaritidae, Arcidae, and Modiolidae. The identified species included Septifer bilocularis, Isognomon isognomum, Isognomon perna,Isognomon ephippium,Isognomon australicus, Pinctada maculata, Barbatia barbata, Lamarcka imbricata, and Modiolus - modiolus. All of the species attached to hard substrates using byssus. The highest density was S. bilocularis (15 individuals/100 m2) in Tiwoho, while l. isognomum with 4.67 individuals/100 m2 in Tongkaina. The length of the bivalvias ranged from 12 mm to 95 mm. Most bivalvias attached to their substrates and formed clumped distribution on both locations. Some species, such as P. maculata and B. barbata, showed a uniform distribution pattern.
