Peer Review Process

Journal LPPM Bidang EkoSosBudKum (Economics, Social, Cultural, and Legal Studies) adopts a double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and integrity of every manuscript submitted to the journal. This process is designed to provide fair, objective, and timely evaluation by involving qualified reviewers in relevant fields of expertise.

Initial Editorial Screening
Each manuscript submitted to the journal first undergoes an initial editorial screening. During this stage, the editorial team evaluates whether the manuscript fits within the journal's scope, follows the formatting guidelines, and meets the minimum standard of academic writing. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be returned to the authors without further review.

Plagiarism Check
After passing the initial screening, manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable detection tools. If significant similarity or academic misconduct is found, the manuscript will be rejected or returned to the author for clarification.

Peer Review by Independent Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass both the editorial and plagiarism checks will be sent to two independent reviewers. The journal uses a double-blind review method, meaning the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and publication history in the manuscript's subject area.

Review Decision
Reviewers are asked to provide constructive feedback and to make a recommendation, which may include: accept without revision, accept with minor revisions, accept with major revisions, or reject. The decision is based on the scientific merit, clarity, novelty, and relevance of the manuscript. Authors are expected to respond to reviewers’ comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within a specified deadline.

Final Editorial Decision
Once the revised manuscript is received, the editor will evaluate the changes. In some cases, the revised manuscript may be sent for another round of review. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection rests with the editorial board, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revision.

Copyediting and Layout
Accepted manuscripts will then proceed to copyediting and layout before being published. The entire peer review process is typically completed within 4 to 8 weeks, although the duration may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the responsiveness of authors and reviewers.

Review Ethics
The journal upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct in peer review. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents, provide objective and professional evaluations, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editors.
