LESI YANG DIDUGA STOMATITIS NIKOTINA PADA NELAYAN YANG MEMILIKI KEBIASAAN MEROKOK

ABSTRACT
Cigarette is one of the causes of death that are already known by most people. In addition smoke can cause disease in the oral cavity, for example Nicotine stomatitis. Fisherman is one of occupations which has the largest numbers of active smokers. The purpose of this study is also to find out how many fisherman who are active smokers and suffering the suspected lesions of Nicotine stomatitis. This research design is descriptive analytic with cross sectional study approach. This research is do in the Tumumpa fishing port with a population of fisherman listed as 1214 people and the total of samples taken is 92 people. Sampling method used purposive non probability sampling. The result showed that the fisherman who have a habit of smoking and suffering from lesions Nicotine stomatitis is 68,5%. Based on the type of cigarettes shows that fisherman who smoke non filtered cigarettes most suffering from lesions Nicotine stomatitis is 45,7%. Based on the duration of smoking shows that fisherman has been smoked more than 20 years most suffering from suspected lesions Nicotine stomatitis is 25%. Based on the number of cigarettes smoked for day shows that fishermen who smoke more than 20 cigarettes for a day most suffering from lesions Nicotine stomatitis is 42,4%.

ABSTRAK
Rokok merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian yang umumnya sudah diketahui oleh sebagian besar masyarakat. Selain penyebab kematian, rokok juga dapat menyebabkan penyakit dalam rongga mulut, salah satunya yaitu Stomatitis nikotina. Nelayan adalah salah satu jenis pekerjaan yang mempunyai proporsi terbesar perokok aktif. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui berapa nelayan yang memiliki kebiasaan merokok dan menderita lesi yang diduga Stomatitis nikotina. Desain penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Tumumpa dengan jumlah populasi nelayan yang terdaftar sebanyak 1214 orang dan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 92 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive non probability sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nelayan yang memiliki kebiasaan merokok dan menderita lesi yang diduga Stomatitis nikotina yaitu sebesar 68,5%. Berdasarkan jenis rokok menunjukkan bahwa nelayan yang merokok dengan jenis rokok putih paling banyak menderita lesi yang diduga Stomatitis nikotina yaitu sebesar 45,7%. Berdasarkan lama merokok menunjukkan bahwa nelayan yang sudah merokok selama >20 tahun paling banyak menderita lesi yang diduga Stomatitis nikotina yaitu sebesar 25%. Berdasarkan jumlah rokok yang dihisap setiap hari menunjukkan bahwa nelayan yang merokok >20 batang per hari paling banyak menderita lesi yang diduga Stomatitis nikotina yaitu sebesar 42,4%.
