ABSTRACT
Reasearch test potential anti-cancer methanol extract of the leaves Selaginella delicatula and Pteris vittata have been done. This research aims for determine the amount of 50% inhibition growth of P388 leukemia cancer cell from methanol extract of the leaves S. delicatula and P. vittata and to know the potential of this plants as the anti-cancer. Extract method that the use is meceration with methanol solvent to get the crude extract. The crude extract  tested the potential anticancer with the MTT (microculture tetrazolium technique) methods on P388 leucemia cancer cell. The growth of cells measured by absorbance of the cange of colour MTT with respiratory enzyme of cells at a wavelengt 540 nm at a concentration of 0,1 µg/mL to 100 µg/mL sample extract. IC50 is determined by the aquation between the absorbance value of the extract concentration. Data processing using the originlab program 9.0 32-bit (Originlab Corporation USA). The result showed the methanol extract from the leaves S. delicatula has a value of inhibition is 16,76 µg/mL and methanol extract of the leaves P. vittata is 82,81 µg/mL.  Provision stating the greater the value of IC50 the compounds are less potential as anticancer. With the results of this research, the S. delicatula potential to be developed as an anticancer leukemia than P. vittata.
