ABSTRACT
Kate mas (Euphorbia heterophylla Desf.) Is a plant that is known by people of Ternate, North Maluku can cause effects laksansia. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of the Kate Mas leaves infuse on male Wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) and analyze the relationship between the concentration of leaf infusion dose kate mas against laksansia effect. A total of 15 animals test were divided into 5 groups: distilled water 2 mL (negative control), infusion of leaves kate mas dose 0:25 g / 200 g BW, 0.5 g / 200 g BW, 1 g / 200 g BW and dulcolactol (positive control) 0.252 g / 200 g BW. Tests on the effects laksansia done by counting the frequency and stool consistency were issued for 25 hours. Data were analyzed with SPSS ver.20, one way ANOVA test to see the difference between treatments. The results showed that infusion of leaves kate mas has seen laksansia effect of increased frequency and stool consistency. Based on these results it can be concluded that the infusion of leaves kate mas has laksansia effect, there is a relationship between the concentration of leaf infusion kate mas against the effects of the lower laksansia where the greater concentration of the resulting effect seen from the frequency and consistency of defecation.

Sebanyak 15 ekor hewan uji dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu : aquades 2 mL (kontrol negatif), infusa daun kate mas dosis 0.25  g/200 g BB, 0.5  g/200 g BB, 1 g/200 g BB serta dulcolactol (kontrol positif) 0.252 g/200 g BB.
