ABSTRACT
Dental caries is a disease that is often experienced by each individual. Changes in the level of economic and lifestyle into several causes. Lack of public awareness of oral health is also one of the causes of dental caries. One of the reasons that the consumption of alcoholic beverages is one habit that is almost inseparable in public life in some areas. This study aims to describe the status of caries in alcohol drinkers in the village of Ure Two Paku. This type of research is a descriptive study. The amount of research data of 50 samples. The results showed the frequency of alcohol> 3 times per week with 34 (68%) of people and consumption of <2 times per week tedapat 16 (32%) of people. The volume of alcohol drinkers in the day there were 29 (58%) of people who consume> 3 cups a day and there were 21 (42%) of people who consume Ë‚ 2 cups a day. Time consuming alcoholic beverages, obtained 36 (70%) of people who consume the night time, and 14 (28%) of people who consume alcohol in addition to night. caries status of respondents in alcohol drinkers in the village of Ure Paku Two of the 50 samples contained 37 (74%) of respondents who drink alcohol are caries and 13 (26%) of respondents were not there caries.

ABSTRAK
Karies gigi merupakan salah satu penyakit yang sering dialami oleh setiap individu.faktor ekonomi dan tingkat pekerjaan serta pola hidup menjadi beberapa pemicunya. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kesehatan gigi dan mulut juga menjadi salah satu pemicu karies pada gigi. Salah satu faktor pemicu yaitu mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol yang merupakan salah satu kebiasaan yang hampir tidak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan masyarakat di beberapa daerah.        Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status karies peminum alkohol di desa Paku Ure Dua. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Jumlah data penelitian yang diambil yaitu 50. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peminum alkohol dengan frekuensi > 3 kali per minggu sebanyak 34 responden (68%) memiliki status karies dengan indeks DMF-T rata-rata 8.08 dan konsumsi < 2 kali per minggu sebanyak 16 responden (32%) memiliki status karies dengan DMF-T rata-rata 6.3. peminum alkohol dalam sehari sebanyak 29 responden (58%) yang mengkonsumsi > 3 gelas sehari memiliki status karies dengan penilaian indeks DMF-T rata-rata sebesar 7.02, dan sebanyak 21 responden (42%) yang mengkonsumsi ˂ 2 gelas sehari memiliki status karies dengan penilaian indeks DMF-T rata-rata 7.09. Waktu mengonsumsi minuman alkohol, sebanyak 36 responden (70%) yang waktu konsumsi malam memiliki status karies penilaian indeks DMF-T rata-rata 7.94, dan 14 responden (28%) yang mengonsumsi alkohol selain malam memiliki status karies penilaian indeks DMF-T rata-rata 6.42. status karies responden pada peminum alkohol di desa Paku Ure Dua dari 50 sampel memiliki penilaian indeks DMF-T rata-rata adalah 7.52.
