ABSTRACT
Plants are sources of various types of chemical compounds are efficacious drugs, one of which is an anti-infective. This study aims to determine wheter moringa leaf extract contain antibacterial activity and to find out the minimum inhibitory concentration of moringa leaf extract against E.coli and S.aureus. The method used is agar diffusion method. As a result, it is found that the extract of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L.) have antibacterial activity against E.coli and S. aureus at concentrations of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, and 80% respectively. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) obtained were 13 mm against E. coli and 12 mm against S. aureus. Differences in the concentration of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L.) extract affect the growth of the bacteria E. coli and S. aureus, where the higher concentration given, the greater the antibacterial activity of inhibiting the growth of bacteria.

ABSTRAK
Tumbuhan merupakan sumber berbagai jenis senyawa kimia yang berkhasiat obat yang salah satunya ialah sebagai antiinfeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri dan mengetahui berapa kadar hambat minimum dari ekstrak daun kelor terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Metode yang digunakanya itu metode difusi agar. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa ekstrak daun kelor mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Escherichia coli dan Stapylococcus aureus pada konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, dan 80 % dan Kadar Hambat minimum (KHM) yang didapat yaitu 13 mm pada bakteri Escherichia coli dan 12 mm pada bakteri Stapylococcus aureus. Perbedaan konsentrasi ekstrak daun kelor mempengaruhi penghambatan pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli dan Stapylococcus aureus, dimana semakin tinggi konsentrasi yang diberikan maka semakin besar pula aktivitas antibakteri penghambatan pertumbuhan bakteri.
