ABSTRACT
The mortality rate from UNICEF in 2012 showed that about 2,000 children under five die every day from diarrheal diseases. The prevalence rate of diarrhea incidence in Indonesia based Riskesdas in 2013 was 3.5%, while the prevalence of diarrhea in the North Sulawesi province stands at 6.6%. Based on data from the disease in Tanawangko Health Center Health Center in 2014, the incidence of diarrhea was included in the list of top 10 diseases, there are 391 people suffering from diarrhea, with the highest incidence rate in the village Ranowangko with 67 patients.This research is analytic survey with cross sectional design. Sampling was done by simple random sampling method, the sample size is determined using a formula of Taro Yamane as many as 90 families. Retrieving data using a questionnaire with interview. Analysis of relationship chi square test with a confidence level of 95% and α = 0.05. The results showed that the use of clean water relationship with the incidence of diarrhea indicates p value = 0.17, latrine usage relationship with the incidence of diarrhea indicates p value = 0.25, and the relationship of washing hands with diarrhea showed p value = 0.71. There was no relationship between the use of clean water, use of latrines and hand washing with diarrhea in rural districts Ranowangko Tombariri Minahasa.

ABSTRAK
Angka kematian dari UNICEF tahun 2012 menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 2.000 anak balita meninggal setiap hari akibat penyakit diare. Angka prevalensi kejadian diare di Indonesia berdasarkan Riskesdas tahun 2013 adalah 3,5%, sementara prevalensi diare pada Provinsi Sulawesi Utara berada pada angka 6,6%. Berdasarkan data penyakit di Puskesmas Tanawangko Puskesmas tahun 2014, kejadian diare termasuk dalam daftar 10 penyakit tertinggi, terdapat 391 penduduk menderita diare, dengan angka kejadian tertinggi pada desa Ranowangko dengan 67 penderita.. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling, besar sampel ditentukan menggunakan rumus Taro Yamane sebanyak 90 KK. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan metode wawancara. Analisis hubungan menggunakan uji chi square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan penggunaan air bersih dengan kejadian diare menunjukkan nilai p value = 0,17, hubungan penggunaan jamban dengan kejadian diare menunjukan p value = 0,25, dan hubungan mencuci tangan dengan kejadian diare menunjukan p value = 0,71. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan air bersih, penggunaan jamban, dan mencuci tangan dengan kejadian diare di desa Ranowangko kecamatan Tombariri Kabupaten Minahasa.
