         Many birth control acceptors are unaware of the increased risk of health problems due to oral contraceptives in those who have smoking habits, obesity, hypertension, perimenopausal age, diabetes mellitus, endometriosis, uterine myoma, vascular embolism and autoimmune diseases, with Using oral contraceptives, the risks to the use of health problems can be very serious. In women who accept birth control pills that have smoking habits, the risk of heart disease and high blood increases (Maryono, 2009). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of pills with hypertension in fertile couples in the village of Sangaji Nyeku Kecamatan Tabaru Halmahera Barat. This research uses analytic survey method with Cross sectional approach. Population in this research is all woman of child-bearing age. Data collection using questionnaire. The results showed there was a correlation between the use of birth control pill with hypertension patient with p value = 0,032 and there was correlation between the duration of use of Pill with hypertension with p value = 0.08. Suggestions for all women of fertile couples, when using contraceptives, are advised to consult a midwife or doctor before deciding to use contraception.

Banyak akseptor pil KB tidak mengetahui adanya peningkatan risiko gangguan kesehatan akibat kontrasepsi oral pada mereka yang mempunyai kebiasaan merokok, menderita kegemukan (obesitas), hipertensi, dalam usia perimenopause, diabetes mellitus, endometriosis, mioma uteri, emboli pembuluh darah dan penyakit auto imun, dengan menggunakan kontrasepsi oral, resiko terhadap Hubungan pemakaian gangguan kesehatan bisa sangat serius. Pada perempuan akseptor pil KB yang memiliki kebiasaan merokok, resiko penyakit jantung dan darah tinggi makin meningkat (Maryono, 2009). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan penggunaan pil dengan hipertensi pada pasangan usia subur di Desa Sangaji Nyeku Kecamatan Tabaru Kabupaten Halmahera BaratPenelitan ini menggunakan metode survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross sectional.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh wanita usia subur. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara Penggunaan Pil KB dengan Penderita Hipertensi dengan nilai p value = 0.032 dan terdapat hubungan antara lama penggunaan Pil KB dengan hipertensi deng p value = 0.08. Saran untuk seluruh wanita pasangan usia subur, bila hendak menggunakan kontrasepsi, disarankan untuk berkonsultasi dengan bidan atau dokter sebelum memutuskan untuk menggunakan kontrasepsi.
