UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK DAN FRAKSI ETANOL DARI BATANG TANAMAN GEDI (Abelmoschus manihot L.)

Tanaman gedi (Abelmoschus manihot L.) adalah tanaman yang memiliki banyak potensi sebagai senyawa aktif. Tanaman gedi memilliki banyak sumber senyawa antioksidan yang terdapat pada daunnya. Penelitian pada batang gedi bertujuan agar mengetahui jika batang tanaman gedi memiliki jumlah antioksidan yang sama dengan daun gedi. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil). Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi untuk mengambil senyawa metabolit sekunder. Pengujian hasil ekstrak dan fraksi dilakukan dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 517 nm. Hasil pengujian diperoleh aktivitas ekstrak dari masing-masing fraksi yaitu: ekstrak etanol 82,08%, fraksi metanol 77,65 %, fraksi kloroform 85,66%, n-heksan 78,26%.
