Abstract

ABSTRACT

The speed rate of growth in Indonesia makes the Government established the National Population and Family Planning (BKKBN). One of the main tasks of the BKKBN is managing tool/oral contraceptives. Drug management is an activity covering the planning, procurement, storage, distribution, recording and reporting of drug use. The purpose of this study was to determine the BKKBN management in the city of Manado, ranging from planning, procurement, storage, distribution to the recording and reporting to evaluate drug management in BKKBN family planning. The methods used were observation and interviews conducted directly on the employees and staff involved. The results obtained show planning tool / oral contraceptives do not use a formula in accordance with the rules so that the BKKBN delivery tool / contraceptives can be done more than once a year. Based on these results it can be concluded that the management tools/oral contraceptives in North Sulawesi is not efficient and in accordance with the regulations BKKBN.

ABSTRAK

Lajunya tingkat pertumbuhan penduduk di Indonesia membuat Pemerintah mendirikan Badan Kependudukan Keluarga Berencana Nasional(BKKBN). Salah satu tugas pokok dari BKKBN adalah mengelola alat/obat kontrasepsi. Pengelolaan obat merupakan suatu aktivitas yang meliputi perencanaan, pengadaan, penyimpanan, pendistribusian, pencatatan dan pelaporan obat yang digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen BKKBN di kota Manado, mulai dari perencanaan, pengadaan, penyimpanan, pendistribusian sampai pada pencatatan pelaporan dan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan obat KB di BKKBN. Metode yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan langsung pada pegawai dan staf yang terlibat. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan perencanaan alat/obat kontrasepsi tidak menggunakan rumus yang sesuai dengan peraturan BKKBN sehingga pengiriman alat/obat kontrasepsi bisa dilakukan lebih dari sekali dalam setahun. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan alat/obat kontrasepsi di BKKBN Provinsi Sulawesi Utara belum efisien dan sesuai dengan peraturan BKKBN.
