Medications used as anti-inflammatories are generally steroid and non-steroid drugs, but have side effects. Indonesia is known as a country with high biodiversity, one of which is yellow chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum indicum). Chrysanthemum indicum has potential as an anti-inflammatory because it contains chemical compounds that have anti-inflammatory effects. This study aims to identify active compounds and analyze anti-inflammatory activity in ethanol extract of yellow chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum indicum) leaves. Extraction was performed using reflux method and anti-inflammatory activity was tested using red blood cell membrane stabilization method. The ethanol extract of yellow chrysanthemum leaves contains active compounds, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, steroids, and phenols. Percentage stability of the extract at concentrations of 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm, and 800 ppm in order, namely 22.898%; 49.962%; 54.392%; 59.872%; and 74.625%. The IC50 value of the extract was 265.181 ppm. The ethanol extract of yellow chrysanthemum leaves contains several active compounds and the extract has anti-inflammatory activity where the highest anti-inflammatory activity is at a concentration of 800 ppm.

Nilai IC50 ekstrak yaitu 265,181 ppm. Ekstrak etanol daun krisan kuning mengandung beberapa senyawa aktif dan ekstrak memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi dimana aktivitas antiinflamasi tertinggi berada pada konsentrasi 800 ppm
