Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of active compounds in Cocos nucifera L. endosperm solid using the GC-MS method. Sampling of Cocos nucifera L. endosperm solid was located in Lolak District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Extraction process and analysis of active compounds using Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) was conducted at the Integrated Research and Testing Laboratory of Gadjah Mada University (LPPT UGM). Analysis by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) of solid powder of Cocos nucifera L. endosperm produced Spirost-8-en-11-one, 3-hydroxy-, (3ß,5a,14ß,20ß,22ß,25R)- as a bioactive compound that can be developed as an anti-inflammatory.
