Pelatihan Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair Berbasis Limbah Organik Lokal Bagi Masyarakat Desa Waleo Dua, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara

Limbah sayur, kulit buah, dan sisa tanaman di Desa Waleo Dua belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, sedangkan petani masih bergantung pada input pupuk yang dibeli. Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam membuat pupuk organik cair (POC) tanpa aktivator komersial EM4 melalui pemanfaatan mikroorganisme lokal (MOL) berbasis air cucian beras dan buah matang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 22 Juli – 30 September 2026 dengan 30 peserta menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang mencakup penyuluhan, demonstrasi, praktik kelompok, evaluasi pre-test dan post-test, serta observasi keterampilan. Formula demonstrasi terdiri atas 5 kg limbah organik tercacah, 10 L air tidak berklorin, 1 L MOL matang, dan 500 g gula merah, kemudian difermentasi selama 21 hari dalam wadah tertutup yang dilengkapi saluran gas. Berdasarkan data simulasi sementara, skor pengetahuan rata-rata meningkat dari 43,7 menjadi 86,0, sedangkan 25 peserta (83,3%) mampu melaksanakan sedikitnya empat dari lima tahapan praktik secara benar. Sebanyak 27 peserta (90,0%) menyatakan berminat memproduksi POC secara mandiri. Produk contoh yang telah disiapkan sebelum pelatihan menunjukkan warna cokelat tua, aroma asam-manis, dan pH 4,1 setelah fermentasi. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis bahan lokal berpotensi meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat sekaligus menawarkan teknologi pengelolaan limbah yang murah dan mudah direplikasi. POC perlu digunakan secara encer sebagai pupuk pelengkap, meskipun demikian mutu produk tetap perlu dikonfirmasi melalui analisis laboratorium serta uji tanaman.
