Health seeking behavior about arthritis gout
Validity and reliability test of research instrument

Background: Gout arthritis is a disease caused by hyperuricemia or increased levels of uric acid in the body, gout can develop if not given proper treatment. Knowledge, attitudes and actions about health seeking behavior have a role in the development of a disease. Therefore, a measuring instrument is needed that can measure the knowledge, attitudes and actions of the community about arthritis gout, one of the measuring instruments that can be used is a questionnaire.
Aim: To create a knowledge, attitude, and action questionnaire on health seeking behavior on gout arthritis patients along with the validity and reliability test of the questionnaire.
Methods: Quantitative descriptive research that tests 3 variables of questionnaire on health seeking behavior with a total of 18 respondents; the questionnaire was created by researchers based on existing theories, using a Likert scale.
Results: Based on the results of the study on 3 topics, namely knowledge, attitude, and action, the calculated rvalue>rtable; and the Cronbach Alpha value of knowledge is 0.794, attitude 0.900, and action 0.895.
Conclusion: The questionnaire is said to be valid and reliable and can be used to measure the level of knowledge, attitude, and action in gout arthritis patients.
