Kecacingan pada anak SD GMIM 1 Tompaso Kecamatan Tompaso Kabupaten Minahasa

Background: Worm infection, also known as helminthiasis, is the introduction of one or more parasitic worms into the human body. More than 260 million preschool-aged children, 654 million school-aged children, 108 million adolescent girls, and 138.8 million pregnant and lactating women live in areas where these parasites are intensively transmitted, and require treatment and prevention interventions.
Aim: To determine the picture of helminthiasis in children of GMIM 1 Tompaso Elementary School in Tompaso District, Minahasa Regency.
Methods: The research design was a descriptive survey research. The research subjects were all students of GMIM 1 Tompaso Elementary School. Stool samples were collected.
Results: A total of 41 samples were collected, and faecal examination results were negative for all samples.
Conclusion: No worm infections were found in students of GMIM 1 Tompaso Elementary School based on descriptions of helminthiasis.
