Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of agribusiness companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using the Du Pont System approach. ROI is broken down into two main components: Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO). The objects of this research are PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk, and PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk during the 2020–2024 period. Data were obtained from annual financial reports and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results indicate that PT Astra Agro Lestari has relatively stable ROI performance, PT Sampoerna Agro shows significant increases in certain years due to production cost efficiency, while PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations has low ROI due to high expenses and suboptimal asset utilization. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Du Pont System approach provides a comprehensive overview of the impact of cost efficiency and asset effectiveness on the financial performance of agribusiness companies.
