Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

  • Manuscript typed with Microsoft Word word processing program.
  • Manuscript submission is done through the Open Journal System (OJS): here.
  • Manuscript should be written in Indonesian or English.
  • Manuscripts are submitted using the template provided, in the order:

 

TITLE

The title consists of a maximum of 15 words (Indonesian) or 12 words (English); if unavoidable, separate some words into subtitles.  Avoid clichés such as: preliminary research, comparative study, review of.  Also avoid: (a) specific abbreviations or acronyms, unless they are common, and (b) Latin names for widely recognized organisms.

 

AUTHOR

The author's name is written in full. The author's name must not be abbreviated. If the author's name consists of only 1 word, then the last name is made the same as the first name.

 

AFFILIATION AND E-MAIL ADDRESS

Please include the affiliation and email address of each author. Affiliation format: Department, Faculty, University, City, Country.  Department, Faculty and University names are written in full (not to be abbreviated).

 

ABSTRACT

The abstract consists of only one paragraph and is written in Indonesian and English.  The abstract should contain the title, research objectives, research methodology and results that are presented clearly and independently.  The maximum number of words is 250 for Indonesian and 200 words for English.

 

KEYWORDS

Keywords consist of 3-5 words or phrases.  Each word/phrase is separated by a semicolon (;). No abbreviations are allowed.

 

INTRODUCTION

The introduction should lead directly to the main point of the research or the main problem at hand, and be supported by primary and up-to-date literature references.  Literature references focus on studies conducted in the last 1 to 10 years that are relevant to the research being carried out (at least 5 references).  In this section, the author must be able to express the importance of this research (gap analysis statement) and the uniqueness/excellence of this paper compared to previous papers (research gap statement).  The last paragraph of the introduction must also be completed with research objectives and hypotheses (if needed).

 

RESEARCH METHOD

This section consists of several main sections that can be adjusted according to the needs: a) place and time of research, and b) Data Collection Methods (Method of Collection, Concept of Variable Measurement and Data Analysis).

 

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Results are presented logically, concisely and systematically (important tables and illustrations should be included).  The discussion is a review of the research results; it includes logical arguments and comparisons with other research results (literature references).

 

CONCLUSION

The conclusion consists of only 1 (one) paragraph. The conclusion is not a statistical conclusion, but its interpretation after being linked to the background and objectives of the research.  Statements in the conclusion must be critical, concrete, and singular; not vague or mysterious.  If suggestions are included, these should be in the form of developmental material for future research.

REFERENCES

  • References used at least 80% come from journals or proceedings and are up-to-date (last 1-10 years).
  • Writing a bibliography using APA Style (American Psychological Association Style).
  • It should be ensured that every reference cited in the text, is also written in the Bibliography and vice versa. We recommend that authors use a reference manager application, such as Mendeley, EndNote, Mendeley or others in creating a bibliography.
  • It is not allowed to use secondary citations in citations, such as Hidayat (2018) in Miftah et al. (2019), and using 'Anonymous' as a reference.
  • Examples of in-text reference citations: Hatidja (2019) or (Hatidja, 2019); Myers et al. (2017) or (Myers et al., 2017); Gultom & Lubis (2014) or (Gultom & Lubis, 2014).
  • The reference is organized alphabetically by the author's last name and year of publication (Name-Year).
  • Writing a bibliography of books in the order of all authors, year, book title, publisher's name and place.
  • Writing a journal bibliography: all authors, year, article title, journal name, volume and issue number, and page. Journal names are italicized.
