Peningkatan teknologi dan informasi yang semakin pesat, seiring dengan kebutuhan akan tenaga listrik yang semakin meningkat dan untuk itu diperlukan data dan informasi yang semakin cepat dan akurat untuk meningkatkan kendala dan ketersediaan tenaga listrik.

Skripsi dengan judul Identifikasi Gardu Distribusi Tenaga Listrik di Kota Manado Berbasis GIS ini dibuat bertujuan bertujuan untuk pembuatan SIG berbasis web dengan visualisasi data spasial yang berisi informasi letak objek-objek gardu listrik, memanfaatkan layanan GoogleMaps sebagai tampilan map viewnya.

Penulis mengembangkan aplikasi ini menggunakan Metode Roger Pressman Dari hasil implementasi aplikasi ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi ini membantu pengguna mengetahui lokasi-lokasi gardu distribusi yang ada di kota Manado.
