About the Journal

Journal Agroecosystems (JA) is an open-access scientific journal that focuses on the study of agroecosystems. The journal emphasizes the interactions among biotic and abiotic components, technological inputs, and human activities in supporting sustainable agriculture and integrated resource management. The journal aims to serve as a platform for scientific publication that integrates ecological approaches, technological innovation, and resource management in modern agricultural systems. It accepts original research articles, literature reviews, and scientific notes relevant to its scope.

Journal of Agroecosystems (JA) is published biannually, in January and July. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process using a double-blind review system to ensure the scientific quality of publications. As an open-access journal, all published articles are freely available to readers without subscription fees. To support editorial and publication processes, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR xxx.xxx per manuscript, payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Journal of Agroecosystems (JA) is managed by the Faculty of Agriculture, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, Indonesia, with institutional support as part of its commitment to advancing knowledge in sustainable agriculture. There are no conflicts of interest in publication funding unless otherwise stated in individual articles. Copyright of the published articles remains with the authors, while granting the journal the right to publish the work. Licensing terms follow the journal’s policy (e.g., Creative Commons Attribution License/CC BY, if applicable). The journal is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), including academic integrity, plagiarism prevention, and editorial transparency. To ensure long-term digital preservation, The Journal of Agroecosystems (JA) participates in archiving systems such as LOCKSS and/or CLOCKSS.
