Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan limbah cair industri tahu dan tempe, serta untuk mengetahui kualitas air di saluran air penerima limbah buangan industri tahu dan tempe, dan Nilai Indeks Pencemaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan mei 2025 di Pabrik tahu KS Paniki sebagai lokasi penelitian. Penentuan titik sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan pengambilan sampel berdasarkan metode grab sampling. Sampel terdiri dari sampel limbah cair tahu dan tempe, serta sampel air saluran air penerima buangan limbah. Sampel diperoleh dari hasil pengukuran secara in-situ dan analisis laboratorium. Parameter yang dianalisis antara lain suhu, pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), dan Total Suspended Solid (TSS).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kandungan limbah cair Industri tahu dan tempe KS Paniki Kecamatan Mapanget Kota Manado adalah sebagai berikut, pH 4,5, BOD 5646 mg/l, COD 6500 mg/l dan TSS 399 mg/l. Kualitas air di Titik 1 saluran air penerima limbah adalah sebagai berikut, Suhu 30ºC, pH 6, BOD 6 mg/l, COD 24 mg/l, dan TSS 16 mg/l, sedangkan kualitas air di Titik 3 saluran air penerima limbah adalah sebagai berikut, Suhu 30ºC, pH 6, BOD 37 mg/l, COD 69 mg/l, dan TSS 186 mg/l. Serta nilai Indeks Pencemaran pada Titik 1 saluran air penerima limbah Kelas I, II, III, IV berturut-turut adalah 5,78, 3,69, 2,23 dan 1,57, sedangkan nilai Indeks Pencemaran pada Titik 3 Kelas I, II, III, dan IV berturut-turut adalah 12,63, 10,21, 7,30, dan 3,91.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of liquid waste of the tofu and tempeh industries, as well as to determine the water quality in the receiving waterways of the tofu and tempeh industry discharges, and the Pollution Index Value. This research was conducted in May 2025 at the KS Paniki tofu factory as the research location. Determination of sample points using purposive sampling method and sampling based on grab sampling method. Samples consisted of tofu and tempeh liquid waste samples, as well as water samples of waste discharge receiving water channels. Samples were obtained from in-situ measurements and laboratory analysis. Parameters analyzed include temperature, pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Total Suspended Solid (TSS).
The results showed that the liquid waste content of the tofu and tempeh industry of KS Paniki, Mapanget District, Manado City is as follows, pH 4.5, BOD 5646 mg/l, COD 6500 mg/l, and TSS 399 mg/l. The water quality at Point 1 of the sewage receiving water channel is as follows, temperature 30ºC, pH 6, BOD 6 mg/l, COD 24 mg/l, and TSS 16 mg/l, while the water quality at Point 3 of the sewage receiving water channel is as follows, temperature 30ºC, pH 6, BOD 37 mg/l, COD 69 mg/l, and TSS 186 mg/l. And the Pollution Index values at Point 1 of the Class I, II, III, IV effluent receiving water channels were 5.78, 3.69, 2.23, and 1.57, respectively, while the Pollution Index values at Point 3 of the Class I, II, III, and IV effluent receiving water channels were 12.63, 10.21, 7.30, and 3.91, respectively.
