Author Guidelines

JURNAL PESISIR DAN LAUT TROPIS, Indonesian Journal of Marine Science, is the normal channel for publishing papers in Marine Science and Technology. Manuscripts reporting experimentation or research (has something innovative and trends that affect the profession) will be accepted for review as papers.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
An acceptable manuscript will meet the following general criteria: it reports a worthwhile contribution to science, sound methodology was used and is explained with sufficient detail so that other capable scientists could repeat the experiments, data support conclusions, manuscripts is concise, well written, and understandable.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT
The manuscript should given in soft copy and arranged in Jurnal Kelautan standard format (Template can be found here), Title, Authors, Address and Email, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestion, Acknowledgment and References and typed at one side of white paper of A4 size, in double column, one point fifteen space, 11 point Arial font.

MANUSCRIPT TITLE
The title consists of at most 15 words. It should be written clearly and concisely, describing the contents of the research.

AUTHORS
The manuscript has a prominent author and co-authors. The author's full name, institution, and email address must be stated clearly.

ABSTRACT
State the objective clearly and clearly as to what is to be obtained. Give a brief account of the methods. Identify scientific names of plants, other organisms, and chemicals. State results succinctly. State conclusions or recommendations and link this to the significance of the work. The abstract should be 200 characters and have no references or accompanying keywords. The abstract must be integrated and independent, consisting of an introduction, purpose, methods, results, conclusion, and suggestion. The abstract should be written in Indonesian and English (for an article in Indonesian) and English (for an article in English).

KEYWORDS
The keywords should be alphabetically arranged and reflect the manuscript's contents. Give up to five keywords.

INTRODUCTION
They were presented briefly, and information concerning the research's background, aim, and purpose was provided.

MATERIALS AND METHODS
The first part should mention the time and place of the research. All materials and methods that used such chemicals for analysis, treatment, and experimental design must be stated clearly and briefly.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION
Results and a discussion will be written in the same section. They should be presented continuously, from the main result to supporting results, and equipped with a discussion. The unit of measurement used should follow the prevailing international system.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
The conclusion should be explained clearly. The suggestion after the conclusion contains a recommendation on the research done or an input that the consumer can use directly.


ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
State the grant source and the person to whom the grant was given. Name the person to help you work.

REFERENCES
The author-year notation system is required and completed. All references mentioned should be written down in reference and arranged from oldest to newest and from Alo Z. Articles have ten recent references or over, and 60% are journals. Most of the references are primary ones. We used APA citation style for reference. Authors are suggested to use reference tools such as Mendeley or EndNote.
