ABSTRACT

Psychotropic substances or drugs are either natural or synthetic non narcotic, efficacious psychoactive through selective effect on the central nervous system that causes the typical changes in mental activity and behavior. Problems that are often found in the storage and distribution systems among which does not use First In First Out (FIFO) or First expired first out (FEFO), system alphabetically, card stock, do not put the medicine in its proper place, the unavailability of storage equipment support and infrastructure inadequate storage. This study aimed to evaluate the storage and distribution of psychotropic drugs in Mental Hospital Prof. Dr. V.L Ratumbuysang using qualitative descriptive method with retrospective and prospective approach. The results showed that the psychotropic drugs storage system in Mental Hospital Prof. Dr. V.L Ratumbuysang overall not in accordance with standards based on the Pharmacy Hospital Supplies Storage Management Guidelines and Health Ministerial Regulation No. 3 Year (2015). While in the process of distribution of psychotropic drugs in accordance to the Hospital Pharmacy Service Standards by Minister of Health Regulation No. 58 Year (2014) and Drug Distribution Operating Procedure Standard in Mental Hospital Prof.Dr.V.L Ratumbuysang.

ABSTRAK

Psikotropika adalah zat atau obat, baik alamiah maupun sintetis bukan narkotika, yang berkhasiat psikoaktif melalui pengaruh selektif pada susunan saraf pusat yang menyebabkan perubahan khas pada aktivitas mental dan perilaku. Permasalahan yang sering ditemukan pada sistem penyimpanan dan distribusi diantarannya yaitu tidak menggunakan sistem First In first Out (FIFO) atau First expired first out (FEFO), sistem alfabetis, kartu stok, tidak menempatkan obat pada tempat yang semestinya, tidak tersedianya peralatan penyimpanan pendukung dan sarana prasarana penyimpanan yang tidak memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penyimpanan dan distribusi obat psikotropika di RSJ Prof. Dr. V. L. Ratumbuysang menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan retrospektif dan prospektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sistem penyimpanan obat psikotropika di RSJ Prof. Dr. V. L. Ratumbuysang secara keseluruhan belum sesuai dengan Standar Penyimpanan berdasarkan Pedoman Pengelolaan Perbekalan Farmasi Rumah Sakit dan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor 3 Tahun (2015).  Sedangkan pada proses distribusi obat psikotropika telah sesuai dengan Standar Pelayanan Farmasi Rumah Sakit berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 58 Tahun (2014)   dan Standar Operasional Prosedur Distribusi Obat di RSJ Prof.Dr.V.L. Ratumbuysang.
