ABSTRACT
The aims of this research were to study the antioxidant activity of methanol extracts from the rhizome of kuso mafola (Drynaria quercifolia L.) and to determine the total phenolic and flavonoid content. The study began with a maceration process using methanol to obtain a concentrated extract. Extraxt was tested against antioxidant activity with DPPH assay, and then determined the total phenolic and flavonoid contents. The results showed that the methanol extract of kuso mafola rhizome has antioxidant acivity with IC50 value of 128, 822 µg/mL, total phenolic content 97, 143 mg/kg, and total flavonoid content 4,45 mg/kg.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak metanol umbi kusomafola (Drynaria quercifolia L.) serta menentukan kandungan total fenolik dan flavonoidnya. Penelitian dimulai dengan proses maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol hingga diperoleh ekstrak pekat. Ekstrak pekat kemudian diuji aktivitas antioksidan dengan metode DPPH dan ditentukan kandungan total fenolik dan flavonoidnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol umbi kuso mafola memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 128,822 µg/mL, kandungan total fenolik sebesar 97, 143 mg/kg, dan kandungan total flavonoid sebesar 4,45 mg/kg.
