GIGI TIRUAN TENTANG HAK PASIEN ATAS

PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM

ABSTRACT

 

The dental care for artificial tooth in Indonesia are carried out not only by the dentist but also by the dental-technician and dental-artificier. The making of artificial tooth by the dental-artificier present a risk due to lack of skill and knowledge to analyze the health of dental and mouth condition and also the risk of using artificial tooth. This condition is concering for the patients as the health-consumer are that the patients are put at a disadvantage because of the law that regulates the consumer’s right in Indonesia isn’t yet optimal. The purpose of this research is to understand the level of knowledge of the patients that uses artificial tooth about the patient’s right for legal protection. This is a descriptive type of research that accommodate 81 sample with Purposive Sampling Method. The research’s result shows the level of knowledge of the artificial tooth patients about the patient’s rights for legal protection are the sufficient in general (score 1.140), using Likert scale.

ABSTRAK

 

      Perawatan pembuatan gigi tiruan di Indonesia tidak saja dilayani oleh dokter gigi, namun juga oleh tekniker dan tukang gigi. Pembuatan gigi tiruan baik pada tekniker maupun tukang gigi memiliki risiko oleh karena mereka tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk menganalisa kondisi kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta risiko pemakaian gigi tiruan.  Keadaan ini mengkhawatirkan apabila tidak dipahami oleh masyarakat sebagai pasien. Kelemahan pasien sebagai konsumen kesehatan yaitu pasien sering berada dalam posisi yang tidak menguntungkan karena hukum yang mengatur tentang hak-hak konsumen di Indonesia belum berjalan dengan maksimal.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan pasien pengguna gigi tiruan tentang hak pasien atas perlindungan hukum.  Jenis penelitian ini berupa suatu penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 81 responden dan pengambilannya menggunakan purposive sampling method.Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkat pengetahuan tingkat pengetahuan pasien pengguna gigi tiruan tentang hak pasien atas perlindungan hukum secara umum tergolong cukup (1.140), dengan menggunakan perhitungan skala Likert.
