Pangi Leaf (Pangium edule Reinw. Ex Blume) has the chemical content as antibacterial. The purpose of this research is to know the chemical content of Pangi leaf and to know the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) from the ethanol extract of Pangi leaf against Escherichia coli bacteria. The extraction was done by maceration method to obtain ethanol extract. Testing begins with Phytochemical Screening, followed by testing the antibacterial activity of Escherichia coli performed by liquid dilution method. The concentration of test solution used was 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%, 3.125%, respectively, and 1.56% for positive controls used Ciprofloxacin and negative controls used Aquades. Based on the results of the research, the Pangi leaf extract contains Flavonoid compounds, Saponins and Steroids. The KHM of Pangi leaf extract was found at the concentration of 25% and KBM of Pangi leaf cannot be determined because of the bacterial growth at the concentration of 50%.

Daun Pangi (Pangium edule Reinw. ex Blume) memiliki kandungan senyawa fitokimia yang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia dari daun Pangi dan mengetahui Kadar Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan Kadar Bunuh Minimum (KBM) dari ekstrak etanol daun Pangi terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi sehingga diperoleh ekstrak etanol. Pengujian diawali dengan melakukan Skrining Fitokimia, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri Escherichia coli yang dilakukan dengan metode Dilusi cair. Konsentrasi larutan uji yang digunakan 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25%, 3,125% dan 1,56% untuk kontrol positif digunakan Ciprofloxacin dan kontrol negatif digunakan Aquades. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwa ekstrak daun Pangi mengandung senyawa Flavonoid, Saponin dan Steroid. KHM ekstrak daun Pangi terdapat pada konsentrasi 25% dan KBM ekstrak daun Pangi belum dapat ditentukan karena sampai konsentrasi 50% masih menunjukan adanya pertumbuhan bakteri.
