Â
Chemical drugs was banned to be added in tradisional medicine dosage. However, in fact there’s still circulatate slimming herbal medicine that contain chemical drugs. This research aims to determine the chemical drug of sibutramine hydrochloride and contained rates in herbal slimming. TLC methods used for qualitative analysis and UV-Vis spectrophotometric method for quantitative analysis that had validated before. Validation parameters used are linearity, precision, accuracy, LOD and LOQ. The result of the tlc method identified only one sample contained sibutramine hydrochloride. Uv-vis Spectrophotometric method identified 10 samples which contain sibutramine hydrochloride. Uv-Vis spectrophotometric analysis has obtained sibutramin hydrochloride level on sample A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J sequentially are 8,124 μg/mL, 3,543 μg/mL, 6,732 μg/mL, 12,790 μg/mL, 9,479 μg/mL, 19,52 μg/mL, 10,613 μg/mL, 15,461 μg/mL, 18,444 μg/mL, and 9,265 μg/mL. Therefore, it is necessary to check and oversight of slimming herbal medicine around Manado.

           Bahan kimia obat dilarang ditambahkan ke dalam sediaan obat tradisional. Namun pada kenyataanya, di pasaran masih juga beredar jamu yang mengandung bahan kimia obat (BKO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahan kimia obat sibutramin HCl dan kadar yang terkandung dalam jamu pelangsing. Metode KLT digunakan untuk analisis kualitatif dan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis untuk analisis kuantitatif yang sebelumnya divalidasi terlebih dahulu. Parameter validasi yang dipakai yaitu linearitas, presisi, akurasi, LOD dan LOQ. Hasil metode KLT mengidentifikasi hanya satu sampel saja terkandung sibutramin HCl. Metode spektrofotometri Uv-Vis mengidentifikasi 10 sampel yang teridentifikasi mengandung sibutramin HCl. Analisis dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis didapatkan kadar sibutramin HCl pada sampel A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, dan J secara berturutan yaitu sebesar 8,124 μg/mL, 3,543 μg/mL, 6,732 μg/mL, 12,790 μg/mL, 9,479 μg/mL, 19,52 μg/mL, 10,613 μg/mL, 15,461 μg/mL, 18,444 μg/mL, dan 9,265 μg/mL. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pemeriksaan dan pengawasan terhadap produk jamu pelangsing yang beredar di kota Manado.
