ABSTRACT
Antibiotics are drugs used for infectious diseases. Irrational use of antibiotics can lead to resistance. In self-medication, inappropriate use of antibiotics often occurs. This is due to the lack of public knowledge about the proper and correct use of antibiotics. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of using self-medicated antibiotics in the community who visit the Bolaang Mongondow District Pharmacy. This study was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach to 195 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the level of public knowledge about antibiotics is still low (54%) and the level of behavior in using antibiotics is sufficient (61%)..
