EFEKTIVITAS PENYEMBUHAN LUKA SAYAT GEL EKSTRAK ALGA TURBINARIA ORNATA PADA TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus)

ABSTRACTÂ
Turbinaria ornata algae is a type of algae that has known activity as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant activity which is in line with the mechanism of wound healing. Alga Turbinaria ornata is also one of the brown algae that contains alginate and neophytadiene compounds and has been shown to have wound healing activity. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the ethanolic extract gel of Turbinaria ornata on wound healing in white rats. Algae extract gel of Turbinaria ornata was tested on 5 groups of rats, consisting of 3 rats in each treatment group, namely negative control, positive control, ethanolic extract gel of Algae Turbinaria ornata 5%, 10% and 15%. Observations were made until day 14. Data were tested using ANOVA (Analysis of Variant). The results of statistical tests showed that there was no significant difference in the duration of wound healing in male white rats. However, the preparation with a concentration of 15% showed faster healing data among the Turbinaria ornata algae extract gel preparations at a concentration of 5% and 10% with brand x gel and gel base.

 ABSTRAKÂ
Alga Turbinaria ornate merupakan jenis alga yang meliki aktivitas yang telah diketahui sebagai antibakteri, antiinflamasi, antioksidan merupakan aktivitas yang sejalan dengan mekanisme penyembuhan suatu luka. Alga Turbinaria ornata juga merupakan salah satu alga coklat yang mengandung alginat dan senyawa neophytadiene dan telah terbukti memiliki aktivitas penyembuh luka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas gel ekstrak etanol Turbinaria ornata terhadap penyembuhan luka sayat pada tikus putih. Gel ekstrak Alga Turbinaria ornata diujikan pada hewan uji tikus sebanyak 5 kelompok yang terdiri dari 3 ekor tikus disetiap kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, gel ekstrak etanol Alga Turbinaria ornata 5%, 10% dan 15%. Pengamatan dilakukan sampai hari ke 14. Data diuji dengan menggunakan ANOVA (Analisis Of Variant). Hasil uji statistik menunjukan tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap lamanya penyembuhan luka pada tikus putih jantan. Meskipun, pada sedian dengan konsentrasi 15% menunjukan data penyembuhan yang lebih cepat di antara sediaan gel ekstrak alga Turbinaria ornata pada konentrasi 5% dan 10% dengan gel merek x dan basis gel.
