Abstract

ABSTRACT

Jarak Cina Latex countains chemical compounds such as alkaloids, Saponins, tannins and flavonoids. that able to give an antibacterial effect. The purpose of this research were to test about physical quality and its effectivity to heal wound infecyion cause by Staphylococcus aereus . Observation of healing time was done by observing infection healing time on rabbits back after the treatment with creams that have made, which based on the disappearance of erythema and pus. The result shows the cream base and Jarak Cina Latex with concentration of 1 %, 5% and 10 % fulfilled the organoleptic, homogeneity and pH value tets but was not fulfilled in the standart parameter of spreadabillity. One way Anova result shows that at least there an influence of the treatment order to significancy result for time healing (Fcalculation 116,000 > Ftable 5,19). The reslt shows that the 10 % of jarak Cina latex cream have the most effectivity to heal infection on rabbits back skin compared to 1 % and 5 % which signed by the shortest of time healing.

ABSTRAK

Getah Jarak Cina memiliki kandungan kimia antara alkaloida, saponin, tannin dan flavonoid. yang mampu memberikan efek antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji efektivitas sediaan krim getah Jarak Cina pada konsentrasi 1 %, 5 % dan 10 % dalam menyembukan luka yang terinfeksi bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Pengamatan terhadap waktu sembuh luka kulit punggung yang terinfeksi bakteri dimulai pada saat terjadinya eritema dan nanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan baik basis krim maupun krim getah Jarak Cina yang dibuat pda konsentrasi 1 %, 5 % dan 10 % memenuhi syarat organoleptik, homogenitas dan pH tetapi tidak memenuhi syarat daya sebar. Hasil analisis Anova satu arah menunjukan bahwa ada lebih dari satu pengaruh perlakuan yang bermakna terhadap waktu sembuh infeksi kult pada punggung kelinci (Fhitung 116,000 > Ftabel 5,19) yang berarti krim getah Jarak Cina berefek menyembukan. Krim getah Jarak Cina dengan konsentrasi terbesar yaitu 10 % paling efektif dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi 1 % dan 10 % ditandai dengan waktu penyembuhan yang paling cepat.
