PELAYANAN INFORMASI OBAT TERHADAP KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PASIEN GERIATRI DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RSUP PROF. DR. R.D. KANDOU MANADO

ABSTRACT
Drug information service is necessary, moreover, many patients who have not received information about using of the drugs, especially geriatric patients. This study aims to assess the drug information service on patient medication adherence in geriatric patient at RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado descriptively. The research was conducted between April-August 2014, with samples taken was 50 respondents geriatric patients who are instalation (C and F) of RSUP Prof. Dr Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado using a previously validated questionnaire. A total of 96% and 4% adherent patients have less adherence to treatment. Drug information services in the department of Prof. Dr. R.D. Manado Kandou are accomplished but in this case it’s a passive service information where pharmacists only provide information on the patient / family asked about drugs.

ABSTRAK
Pelayanan informasi obat sangat diperlukan, terlebih lagi banyak pasien yang belum mendapatkan informasi obat secara memadai tentang obat yang digunakan, terutama pasien geriatri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelayanan informasi obat terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pasien geriatri di instalasi rawat inap di RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado secara deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan April – Agustus 2014 dengan sampel yang diambil ialah 50 responden pasien geriatri yang berada di instalasi rawat inap (C dan F) RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang telah divalidasi sebelumnya. Sebanyak 96% pasien patuh dan 4% tidak patuh terhadap pengobatan. Pelayanan informasi obat di RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado terlaksana namun dalam hal ini bentuk pelayanan informasi yang dilakukan dalam bentuk pasif saja dimana apoteker pemberi informasi hanya memberikan informasi pada saat pasien/keluarga bertanya atau pada saat persepan obat.
