The Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Spons Aaptos aaptos dari Perairan Desa Parentek Kabupaten Minahasa Terhadap Bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus.

Spons Aaptos aaptos dapat menghasilkan senyawa khusus yaitu Aaptamine yang dapat digunakan dalam bidang farmasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak spons Aaptos aaptos terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli, dan Staphylococcus aureus. Sampel diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol sebagai pelarut. Pengujian antibakteri menggunakan metode disc diffusion Kirbyand Bauer (Metode difusi agar). Sampel Spons Aaptos aaptos sebanyak 600g menghasilkan ekstrak dengan berat 13,78g dan rendemen 0,022%. Hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri spons Aaptos aaptos pada bakteri Escherichia coli termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat karena zona hambat yang terbentuk >20 mm yaitu 22.3 mm, sedangkan aktivitas antibakteri spons Aaptos aaptos pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus termasuk kategori kuat karena zona hambat yang terbentuk antara 10-20 mm yaitu 18 mm.
