ABSTRACT
Tapak Kuda leaves contains the chemical contents such as alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin and steroid which is worked as antimicrobial and stimulate the growth of new cells in the wound. This research aims to test the effect of hydrocarbon ointment base type, absorption of ointment base, water leached ointment base, and Tapak Kuda leaves ethanol extract water soluble ointment base which involve organoleptic test, ph test, homogeneity test, and dispersive power test. Extraction was done by maceration method with 96% ethanol as the solvent. The result showed that four type of bases qualify the organoleptic test. The ointment pH qualify the skin pH (4,5-6,5). The Ointment has good homogeinity. In the dispersive power test, ointments with the type of hydrocarbons, absorption and water leached have the best results which is qualify the semisolid preparation parameters.

ABSTRAK
Daun tapak kuda Memiliki kandungan kimia alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, steroid. Yang bekerja sebagai antimikroba dan merangsang pertumbuhan sel baru pada luka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh tipe basis salep hidrokarbon, basis salep absorpsi, basis salep tercuci air dan basis salep larut air ekstrak etanol daun tapak kuda yang meliputi uji organoleptik, uji pH, uji homogenitas dan uji daya sebar. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan ke empat tipe basis yang dibuat memenuhi syarat uji organoleptis. pH salep memenuhi parameter uji yang sama dengan pH kulit ( 4,5-6,5). Salep memiliki homogenitas yang baik. Pada uji daya sebar, salep dengan tipe hidrokarbon, absorpsi dan tercuci air memiliki hasil yang paling baik karena memenuhi parameter sediaan semisolid (5-7cm).
