Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human resource (HR) competencies and job placement on employee job satisfaction at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Manado Branch Office. The approach used in this research is quantitative method, with permanent employees of BTN Manado Branch as the research population. The research sample was selected using simple random sampling technique, with a total of 50 respondents. In data analysis, this study applied the R test, F test, convergent validity, and path coefficient test.

The results of hypothesis testing in this study indicate that HR competence and job placement have a significant influence on employee job satisfaction at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Manado Branch Office. This is evidenced by the T-Statistic value of HR competence of 5.004 and the T-Statistic of job placement of 3.968, both of which exceed the threshold of 1.96, as well as their respective significance values of 0.000, which are much smaller than 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the results of this study indicate that good HR competencies and the right job placement system play an important role in increasing employee job satisfaction, where the relationship found is real and does not occur by chance.
