Respiratory tract disease overview at Ranotan Weru Public Health Center, Wanea District, Manado City, July 2023 – June 2024

Background: Respiratory diseases are one of the global health problems, ranging from viral infections to chronic diseases.
Aim: To describe the profile of respiratory diseases at Ranotana Weru Health Center, Wanea District, Manado City, from July 2023 to June 2024.
Methods: This study used a descriptive method with retrospective data collection and a cross-sectional study design. We used secondary data from patient medical records at Ranotana Weru Health Center, Wanea District, Manado City, from July 2023 to June 2024.
Results: A total of 1,384 cases of respiratory diseases were recorded during the study period. The most common diagnosis was nasopharyngitis, with 989 cases. Respiratory diseases predominantly occurred in the 19–59 age group (582 cases). Females had a higher number of cases than males, 758 cases compared to 626 cases.
Conclusion: Nasopharyngitis was the most dominant respiratory disease during the study period, particularly in the productive age group and among females.
