GAMBAR HYGIENE PERORANGAN DAN PEMAKAIAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI PADA PEMULUNG SAMPAH DI TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN AKHIR SUMOMPO KOTA MANADO 2017

Abstract

Hygiene Perorangan dan Pemakaian Alat Pelindung Diri terhadap pemulung sampah di lokasi Tempat Pembuangan Akhir adalah sesuatu hal yang sangat penting terhadap keberadaan pekerja yang beraktifitas di lokasi tempat pembuangan akhir sampah. Dalam melakukan aktivitas, pemulung tidak terlalu memperhatikan kesehatan diri maupun lingkungan sekitarnya yang mengakibatkan, pemulung mengalami Bau tidak sedap, benda-benda berbahaya yang mengandung zat kimia dan bakteri di lokasi tempat pembuangan akhir sampah yang dianggap menjadi risiko bagi kesehatan mereka. Hygiene dan Pemakaian Alat Pelindung diri sangatlah dibutukan di lokasi pembuangan akhir sampah. Oleh karena sampah yang berada di Tempat pembuangan akhir merupakan barang-barang atau sesuatu benda yang sudah tidak terpakai lagi baik berasal dari rumah-rumah maupun sisa-sisa proses industri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan observasi untuk mengetahui gambaran hygiene perorangan dan pemakaian alat pelindung diri pada pemulung di lokasi TPA Sumompo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakn di TPA Sumompo Kecamatan Tuminting Kota Manado. Waktu Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September 2016. Populasi penelitian adalah semua pemulung yang bekerja di TPA Sumompo yang berjumlah 250 orang. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini di tentukan dengan mengunakan rumus Yamane dengan jumlah 93 responden dengan menggunakan metode. Pengambilan Sampel secara purposive sampling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan presentasi hygiene perorangan 64 atau 68,8% yang peduli terhadap kebersihan diri dan 29 atau 31,2% yang tidak memperhatiakan kebersihan diri. Alat Pelindung Diri yang digunakan oleh pemulung 83 atau 89,2% yang peduli terhadap penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Dan 10 atau 10,8% yang tidak peduli terhadap penggunan alat pelindung diri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa Gambaran Hygiene Perorangan Dan Pemakaian Alat Pelingkung Diri Pada Pemulung Sampah Di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir Sumompo, terdapat hubungan yang erat dengan keadaan aktifitas pemulung di lokasi Tempat Pembuangan Sampah Akhir Sumompo

ABSTRACT

Individual Hygiene and Use of Personal Protective Equipment to the garbage collector at the location of Final Disposal is something that is very important to the existence of workers who are active in the location of the landfill. In carrying out activities, scavengers do not pay much attention to the health of themselves and the surrounding environment that resulted, scavengers experience unpleasant odors, harmful objects containing chemicals and bacteria in locations where waste disposal is considered a risk to their health. Hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment are required in the final waste disposal site. Because the waste in the landfill is goods or things that are no longer used either from the houses and the remnants of industrial processes. His research is a descriptive research with observation approach to know the description of individual hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment on the waste picker at Sumompo landfill location. This research was conducted in Sumompo Landfill Tuminting District, Manado City. Time Research was conducted in August-September 2016. The study population is all scavengers who work in Sumompo TPA which amounts to 250 people. The number of samples in this study was determined by using the formula Yamane with the number of 93 respondents by using the method of Sampling by purposive sempling. The results of the study showed a personal hygiene presentation of 64 or 68.8% who cared about personal hygiene and 29 or 31.2% who did not pay attention to personal hygiene. Personal Protective Equipment used by scavengers 83 or 89.2% who are concerned about the use of personal protective equipment. And 10 or 10.8% are not concerned with the use of personal protective equipment Based on the results of the study that Individual Hygiene Description And Use of Self-Separation Tool on Waste Scavenger in Sumompo End Disposal Place, there is a close relationship with the condition of scavengers activities at Sumompo Waste Disposal Site.
