GAMBARAN KECUKUPAN MINERAL MAKRO PADA MAHASISWA SEMESTER VI FAKULTAS KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS SAM RATULANGI SELAMA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Abstract

ABSTRACTMinerals are parts of the body that play an important role in maintaining body functions, both at the cellular level, organ tissues and overall body functions. Based on mineral needs, they are classified into two main groups, namely macro minerals and micro minerals. With adequate consumption of minerals in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, the immune system can survive so that the body remains healthy and avoid the outbreak. The purpose of this study was to determine the adequacy of macro minerals for students of the Sixth Semester of the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research was descriptive with a cross sectional design, carried out in May - October 2020, at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University Manado with a total sample of 128 respondents. The research instrument used was a form containing the respondent's identity and intake data, namely a food record form which was carried out for two days. The results showed that the calcium intake of the respondents was mostly in the low category as many as 118 respondents (92.2%), there were only 5 respondents (3.9%) in the sufficient category, and 5 respondents (3.9%) in the more category. Potassium intake of all respondents was in the low category as many as 128 respondents (100%). The phosphorus intake of the respondents was 71 respondents (55.5%) in the low category, 33 respondents (25.7%) in sufficient category, and 24 respondents (18.8%) in the more category. The sodium intake of the respondents was mostly in the low category as many as 114 respondents (89%), in the sufficient category there were only respondents (4.7%) and in the more category as many as 8 respondents (6.3%). Most of the respondents were in the poor category as many as 119 respondents (92.9%), there were only 8 respondents (6.3%) in sufficient category, and 1 respondent (0.8%) in the more category.ÂKeywords: Adequacy of Macro Minerals, Students, COVID-19
