Abstract: Pulmonary tuberculosis (pulmonary TB) is one of the ten leading causes of death world-wide. Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycaemia. Thus, this disease can exacerbate the symptoms and increase the reccurence rate of pulmonary TB. Chest X-ray examination is used to support the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aimed to obtain the chest X-ray profile of pulmonary TB patients with diabetes mellitus at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital from January to June 2022. This was a retrospective and descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The results obtained 21 patients of pulmonary TB with diabetes mellitus dominated by females (61.9%) and age group of 46-55 years (33.3%). The most common chest X-ray characteristic was fibrosis (95.2%). The most dominant degree of severity was far advanced lesion (61.9%). In conclusion, in this study the majority of pulmonary tuberculosis patients with diabetes mellitus were females and age group of 46-55 years. The most common chest X-ray characteristic was fibrosis with far advanced lesion.
