Focus and Scope
Platax Scientific Journal, published by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Sam Ratulangi University, is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in all aspects of Fisheries, Aquatic Sciences, and Marine Sciences.
The journal welcomes original research articles, short communications, and comprehensive literature reviews from researchers, academics, and graduate students worldwide. The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not limited to, the following core areas:
- Aquaculture & Fish Health: Fish breeding, nutrition, pathology, culture system technology, and biotechnology.
- Aquatic Product Technology: Post-harvest processing, seafood safety and quality, aquatic bioproducts, and processing technology.
- Capture Fisheries & Fishing Technology: Fishing gear technology, navigation, seamanship, fishing grounds, and sustainable capture operations.
- Fisheries Socio-Economics & Agribusiness: Fisheries management, socio-economics, marketing, supply chain, and coastal community development.
- Aquatic Resource Management: Aquatic ecology, aquatic biodiversity, water quality, and environmental health.
