Plagiarism Policy

General Statement

The Applied Agroecotechnology Journal (Jurnal Agroekoteknologi Terapan) strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism. We are highly committed to publishing original research that contributes to the advancement of applied agricultural science and technology.

Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. Any content, ideas, or data drawn from other sources must be properly cited and referenced according to academic standards. This includes the authors' own previously published work (avoiding self-plagiarism).

Plagiarism Screening Process

Similarity Index Threshold: Maximum 18%

To ensure the originality of every manuscript, the Editorial Board rigorously screens all submitted articles using Turnitin similarity detection software before they are sent for peer review.

The journal policy requires that all manuscripts must produce a similarity index of strictly below 18%. In calculating this percentage, the bibliography/references and properly formatted quoted texts are excluded.

Sanctions for Plagiarism

During the Submission Phase If a manuscript yields a similarity score of 18% or higher during the initial screening, the Editorial Team will return the manuscript to the author for revision. If the manuscript contains blatant or deliberate plagiarism (e.g., copying entire paragraphs verbatim without attribution), it will be immediately rejected without the opportunity for resubmission.
After Publication If plagiarism is proven after the article has been published, the journal reserves the right to formally retract the article. A retraction notice will be published, linked to the original article, and the author's institution may be informed regarding the ethical breach.
